Dr. Andrysco's Ph.D.,  which he obtained from the Ohio State University in 1980,  combined studies from the colleges of Veterinary Medicine,  Animal Behavior and Human Psychology.  This unique combination of studies,  coupled with his twenty-two years of practical experience,  enables Dr. Andrysco to examine and then help improve the relationship between any owner and any pet.

TECHNIQUES THAT INVOLVE YOU

Dr. Andrysco's techniques emphasize you - the pet owner.   He begins by discussing with you the history and nature of your pet's behavior.  He then examines the existing relationship between you and your pet,  and works with you to help make that relationship the best it can be.  He helps you understand why your pet behaves the way it does and demonstrates the techniques you must use to improve your pet's behavior.

Dr. Andrysco has dealt with almost every imaginable behavioral situation,  in relation to dogs and cats,  and has consulted pet owners in eight different countries.  Some of the more typical behaviors,  in which his techniques have resulted in an overall success rate that approaches 90%,  include:

Dog behaviors:

Aggression,  urinating/defecating in inappropriate areas,  destructive chewing,  excessive noise making,  over-reaction to other animals and inappropriate "greeting" toward people.

Cat behaviors:

Urinating/defecating outside the litter box,  spraying,  aggression,  excessive noise,  destructiveness,  getting on inappropriate objects,  and eating disorders.

Stray animals:

Keeping animals out of yards/gardens and dealing with stray dogs while on walks.

Selecting a new pet,  introducing pet to newborn child,  improving the relationship between a child and a pet,  pet facilitated therapy and grieving the loss of a pet.
