Is Dr. Bob a Pet Psychologist?No he is not.  Actually there is no such thing.  He is a Pet Behavior Specialist.  His specialty is helping pet owners modify their pet's behaviors.
Is Dr. Bob a Veterinarian?Even though his Ph.D. included extensive studies at the Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine,  he is not a practicing veterinarian.  His practice is specific to Behavior Management.  He works very closely with veterinarians to ensure that each client is receiving the best care possible.
Is Dr. Bob a Psychologist?Dr. Andrysco did do extensive study at the Ohio State University School of Psychology and Comparative Psychology.   He is not a licensed psychologist.  However,  he is capable of counseling owners on their role in the management or modification of their pet's behavior.
Does Dr. Bob work with just dogs - or does he work with other pets as well?The majority of Dr. Bob's clients own dogs or cats.  He also has experience with helping owners modify certain behaviors in other animals including birds,  rabbits,   ferrets,  pet pigs and horses.
What types of behaviors can Dr. Bob help me correct?As far as dogs and cats are concerned - he can help modify ANY behavior.  Examples of these behaviors include housebreaking,  not using the litter box,   aggression,  destructive behaviors,  excessive noise making,  and many more.
Other than pet behavior management,  can Dr. Bob help me with other areas related to pet animals?Absolutely!    He has helped individuals and families in many areas including choosing a new pet,  grieving the loss of a pet,  introducing and adapting a pet to a new born child or new home,  and many more.
Does Dr. Bob hold obedience training classes?No,  even though he incorporates the use of obedience into some of his behavior management techniques, he does not conduct general obedience training.  However,  he works closely with many dog trainers nationwide and he may be able to recommend a trainer or training class in your area.
What are Dr. Bob's fees?His fees vary according to the location and the type of the consultation program.  To determine the program that is best for you and the accompanying fee it is recommended that you contact Dr. Andrysco by filling out the contact form.
What do I get in return for Dr. Bob's fee?Dr. Bob will instruct you on the proper techniques on how to change a particular behavior(s) exhibited by your pet and will outline a behavior modification program that is specifically tailored to your pet and family.  You will also receive use of Dr. Bob's time on the phone for a specified time period (usually 60 days) following the initial consultation.
Can I get some idea of Dr. Bob's success rate?His success rate does vary in relation to various factors including the age of the pet,  type of behavior being modified,  how long the behavior has been exhibited and most importantly - how well the owner follows the behavior management plan.  There are some situations that have a lower success rate than others,  but overall his success rate approaches 90%.
Can I talk to Dr. Bob on the telephone prior to making an appointment with him?Absolutely!  Dr. Bob welcomes communications from all pet owners.
How long does the average consultation last?In the vast majority of cases the consultation will last approximately one hour,  however there are occasions in which the consultation may last as long as 1 1/2 hours.
Can Dr. Andrysco tell me why my pet is doing a certain behavior?It is difficult for Dr. Andrysco (or anyone for that matter) to know specifically WHY a pet is doing a certain behavior.  He certainly can give you a good idea,  however he chooses to focus more on HOW to solve a behavior problem.
Is there anything I can read that will help me understand Dr. Andrysco's philosophy(s) on pet behavior?Yes.  As a matter of fact he has written numerous articles and published other works.  You may also consider purchasing his book,  "Tricks I Taught My Master",  which will not only get you acquainted with his philosophy,  but will also be a very educational and entertaining read for you as well.
